I was thinking about how we go about discovering what is true, and thinking about the professional philosophers, not that I hang around with them much. And it seemed to me that the cake of reality is very large and complicated. In fact, its full of fruits and nuts and probably soaked in brandy.
Without a map, any ant just has to burrow in somewhere handy. One ant meets a chunk of walnut. Another ant insists that this candied cherry is where its at. After all he chomped his way right into it. There are ants who see nothing but smooth sailing in the sweet flesh of cake, with a boozy finish to the meal.
Anyhow, I just wanted to say thanks to the Lord God for the map he gave.
We would truly be up a philosophical creek with no paddle without it.
