I have no excuse really. It was an odd day. Meant to go for a nice long drive but didn’t. Didn’t do anything really. Took a big, long nap.
Then I got to thinking about the word “siesta”. Growing up, I got a lot of foolish ideas from
cartoons and such about what a siesta might be. It was something lazy people in
hot climates did because they were so lazy, right?

_________________________________________________________________siesta (n.)
"interval of sleep or repose taken at mid-day," 1650s, from Spanish siesta "mid-day rest or nap," from Latin sexta (hora) "sixth (hour)," the mid-day hour (coming six hours after sunrise), from sexta, fem. of sextus "sixth" (see Sextus). A common practice in hot countries.

Well, sometimes, it’s the best thing to do. On hot days it’s easier to sit up all night
and do stuff.
For extra credit I had an odd idea to explore.
Could consciousness be evidence for the eternal nature
of the human soul? Just wondering while
I was snoozing.
