Thanks Mommy

It is the archetypal Hallmark Holiday. True.
All of us have or had a mother, or we know several mothers, or are married to one, or we are a mother ourselves.
Almost all of them did the best she could with what she had. It's written in our DNA and in our souls as women, to do that work earnestly.
So, thanks Mommy. By now, if I didn't know before, I perceive what it cost you in care, persistence, hope and optimism.  You were a trooper!
My little Mommy gave birth to me when she was barely 17 years old, and for her the course of her life was set. I think all she ever cared about was her family. God bless her indeed.
God bless all of our Mothers, everyday.
